The Land Use & Water Planner in the Community Development Office of the Division of Local Government will coordinate the State of Colorado's work to identify and promote local government best practices for integrating land use and water planning. The position will develop and implement a coordinated workplan that includes research and best practices, guidance materials and tools, outreach and communication, training, and technical assistance to help implement portions of the Colorado Water Plan. The workplan will be developed in coordination with the State Water Conservation Technical Specialist in the Colorado Water Conservation Board (CWCB) and support the work of the Colorado Land and Water Planning Alliance ("Alliance"), a group of organizations working on these issues that was convened by CDO and CWCB in 2017 to advance this work through collaborative efforts. The position will contribute to the land use section of the Colorado Water Plan update and other state plans (as applicable), in coordination with CWCB and other relevant state agencies.

This is a full-time, temporary position. The position closes on November 5th.
