Information About the Job:  We are seeking an experienced water attorney to advise and litigate on behalf of Colorado’s Division of Parks and Wildlife.  Colorado’s Division of Parks and Wildlife (CPW) is charged with protecting and managing some of Colorado’s most valuable resources: wildlife and wildlife habitat, a superb state parks system, and outdoor recreation opportunities for the state’s residents and visitors.  All of these require ownership and management of an extensive portfolio of water rights. CPW has acquired one of the largest portfolios of water rights in the state, which includes a variety of surface, storage, and groundwater rights and interests maintained for the benefit of CPW’s properties and natural resource interests.  A team of three attorneys, including this position, provides legal services to advise and support CPW staff and the leadership team of Colorado Parks and Wildlife.
