Job Description:

Martin and Wood Water Consultants, Inc. (M&W) is seeking to hire a junior to mid-level Hydrogeologist - Engineer to join our qualified team of hydrogeologists and engineers. The Hydrogeologist - Engineer position is a technical position primarily in the water resources and water rights fields. The position may include tasks relating to hydrogeologic analyses of aquifers, groundwater modeling, aquifer pumping test analyses, review of and conducting well depletion and recharge accretion analyses, and occasional field work including monitoring well installation and testing, along with water well construction observation services. Additional tasks include hydrologic analyses of streamflow conditions, construction of hydrologic models, preparation of reports, development and maintenance of water accounting forms, historical consumptive use analyses, and water rights evaluations. The majority of the work will be performed in the office; however, occasional out-of-office opportunities arise which include: surface water sampling; monitoring well installation and testing, water well construction observation services, water meter testing, site visits to diversion structures, farms, ranches, and storage and/or recharge facilities; interviewing farmers or other knowledgeable persons on water use; and attending meetings and professional development forums.
