Reporting to the Associate Director, the Director of Water Programs(“Water Program Director”)will oversee Groundwork Denver’s urban waters program, including but not limited to water quality testing, watershed improvements,youth employee engagement, and community education.The Water Program Director will align all activities to Groundwork Denver’s
environmental justice strategy and vision.
Water Program Responsibilities:
•Oversee the implementation of activities in the urban waters initiative, including water quality testing, watershed improvements, youth employee engagement, community education •Successfully meet grant and contract deliverables, including data collection and reporting requirements.
•Successfully manage and administer water program grants and contracts, including adhering to contract billing and financial reporting requirements, ensuring appropriate expenses are allocated, and staff time billing is accurate.
•Supervise volunteers, staff, and consultants working on water-related programming, including Blue Team youth.
•Build partnerships and participate in collaborative efforts related to urban waters.
•Represent Groundwork Denver at external meetings, collaborations and community events related to urban waters.
•In coordination with multiple external stakeholders, exchange data with key partners to participate and aide in the State Water Quality Control Division’s Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) process for Lower Bear Creek.
