Intern – Data and GIS Intern, Water Conservation - Fort Collins Utilities

Fort Collins Utilities is seeking a GIS and Data Analyst Intern to assist with a variety of Water Conservation’s summer programs including: report development, mapping and analytics, and data management. This internship opportunity will give the selected candidate experience managing, analyzing and synthesizing data with work centered around generation and management of landscape water budgets using ArcGIS and Excel. Additional opportunities may include using programming languages to automate or improve existing programs, although programming experience is not a job requirement. Ideally, the position will start in late April continue through the end of the year. Hours can be flexible during the spring semester, with approximately 40 hours/week desired during the summer months. Duties will vary on a daily basis and range from providing administrative support to researching, data analysis, report generation, and recommending best practices.
