Greeley Landscape Lecture: Succession Planting to Support Pollinators

  • Wednesday, June 17, 2020
  • 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM
  • Webianr

This event is not sponsored by CWW. Additional information and registration available here.

Greeley’s Landscape Lecture series will move to an online-only format via a Zoom webinar through June. City of Greeley officials have monitored the rapidly evolving COVID-19 situation, and the health and safety of the community are paramount. Presenting the lectures through an online-only format will help limit contact and exposure. The webinar will be broadcasted live and attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions. Even as the Safe at Home is lifted, this may be a safe option for residents who don’t feel comfortable sitting in a crowded room.

At 6:30 p.m. on June 17, the topic is Succession Planting to Support Pollinators. Ross Shrigley, the Executive Director of Plant Select, is the presenter for this landscape lecture. A pollinator garden is an inviting place for people and wildlife and creates a positive impact on the environment. Make your yard a delightful place for bumblebees, hummingbirds, and butterflies all season long. Perennials have different bloom periods, with some blooming early in the spring and other blooming in mid- or late summer. Planting the perennials, so you have a succession of blooms keeps the garden looking fresh throughout the flowering seasons. Register at, https://bit.ly/LLGreeley3.

Greeley’s Water Conservation Program offers a Landscape Lecture series to the community. This is one of these events. Visit GreeleyGov.com/LandscapeLectures for more information on all upcoming sessions. Follow the “water” tag on Greeley Calendar to find out more about all of our water and conservation events.
