2021 Denver - Thornton
Urban Water Cycle Bike Tour
Virtual and Self-guided
Prizes available through August 31

Join in for the 10th year and ride the Urban Water Cycle Bike tour from Globeville Landing to Thornton this summer!

The 2021 Urban Water Cycle Bike Tour is live and ready for riders. For the 10th year, this fun, interactive activity connects Coloradans directly to their water. Through this tour, you will learn how our water system is manipulated through extensive man-made infrastructure to ensure we have enough clean water to sustain our Colorado lifestyle.

This year’s tour is a video, a web link, and an app. The video can be found on YouTube, at the Barr Milton Watershed Association website, and the Water Education Colorado website, or click on the link below.

Speakers along the tour include:

  • Brad Buchanan, CEO of the National Western Center
  • Jocelyn Hittle, Assistant Vice Chancellor, Spur Campus & Special Projects
  • Jeff Shoemaker, Executive Director, The Greenway Foundation
  • Keller Smith, Farmers Reservoir and Irrigation Company
  • Isaac Avila, Metro Wastewater Reclamation District
  • Jordan Parman, Water Quality Scientist, Metro Wastewater Reclamation District
