Join Colorado WaterWise for an in-person plains farm tour on July 14.
This tour will explore the interface and interaction between agricultural water usage, food supply and resilience at the urban edges. Join us on the working farm undergoing conversion and learn about their innovative work to reduce water demand to manage water and other resources more sustainably. Agriburbia’s goal is to create and integrate 30 million high quality, highly successful farmers in both urban, suburban and rural environments and thus improve both human and planetary health.
We will start the event with a locally sourced lunch in the barn. We will then hear about the embodied water in food, learn more about the innovative ways Agriburbia is bringing agriculture and development together, and then tour the facility.
This event does have portions outdoors and it is a working farm. Closed toe shows are advised. If rain is in the forecast, the programming will adjust with limited outdoor components.
Please consider carpooling and let us know if you would like to participate but are unable to travel to the site.
