Graywater Design and Installation for Professionals in Colorado

Learn how to design and build residential and commercial graywater systems compliant with Denver and Colorado regulations. With supply shortages on the horizon, water conservation, and water efficiency are more vital than ever to continue preserving such a precious resource.

The course is designed for people with basic plumbing, landscaping, or irrigation skills. You will learn about the concepts required to install graywater systems in the Denver area. There will be an optional exam and installation for people wishing to be certified and listed as Qualified Water Efficient Landscaper.

· Sustainable landscape practices
· Plants and products for graywater
· Distribution field sizing
· Collection Plumbing
· Distribution to Landscape
· Colorado and Denver graywater regulations and permitting
· Future of graywater – indoor reuse systems

This 3 and a half-day course will include a site visit to a local, operational graywater system and introduce you to several commercially available graywater packaged systems. Red Rocks Community College is a professional certifying organization for EPA’s WaterSense program. WaterSense and its partners are committed to bringing water-efficient products to market, labeling new homes, and spreading the word about the need for smart water use.
