Position Summary
Under general supervision, assist with the planning, development, and implementation of community, public, water conservation, with an emphasis in program administration, public involvement, and outreach. May act as Denver Water's liaison for stakeholders and customers impacted by construction projects, conservation programs or other community initiatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide database management, data entry, data visualization and assist with program administration for customers, stakeholders, and program partners.
- Ensure accurate data collection and integrate programs where possible. Perform research on conservation technology, educational program effectiveness and other related topics. Test new programs, lessons, activities and assess their effectiveness.
- Build relationships with school districts, educators (formal and non-formal), neighborhood groups, community groups, elected officials, chambers of commerce, water organizations, etc.
- Develop and maintain relationships with city, state, federal agencies, private industry, landscape industry, school districts, educators (formal and non-formal), and contractors to provide information on and promote organizational programs, projects, and water conservation.
- Assist in developing and providing support for an active public information program involving schools, civic and professional organizations, homeowner groups and other key customer groups.

Water Conservation: Conduct technical design review of plans for large landscaped areas or commercial/multi-family buildings using large volumes of water. Work directly with industries, developers, suburban distributors, and commercial customers to implement water conservation
operating rules, irrigation efficiency techniques and other water management best practices. Ensure accurate data collection to support monitoring and evaluation of water efficiency programs using
statistical analysis, data visualization, and spatial analysis (ArcGIS). Serve as a liaison between staff, contractors, communities/neighborhoods participating in landscape transformation programs. Analyze and review design drawings and landscape plans to assist in Water Sales processes. Respond on behalf of Denver Water to inquiries from stakeholders. Formulate agendas and secure speakers, and assist other sections in formulating and carrying out public meetings. Develop content and educational material to engage diverse populations with water efficiency programs in an equitable way.
