August 21, 2020

11:00 AM - 11:45 AM MT

This virtual conversation between legal and water utility experts will highlight various legal issues that are arising as workers and contractors begin to return to water utilities and water sector places of employment post-quarantine.  Employer liability, employee health and safety, monitoring and reporting issues will be explored, along with current processes and procedures utilities are using to successfully navigate these challenging issues.  This 45 minute program is conversational, with an opportunity for attendees to post/ask questions of the experts.

Distinquished Panel of Experts:

Wendy M. Lazerson, Esq. (Conversation lead)
Partner, SIDLEY AUSTIN LLP

 Randal Brown, Esq.
General Counsel, Great Lakes Water Authority

 Andrianne Payson, Esq.
Senior Vice President & General Counsel, SUEZ North America Inc.

As a result of this virtual conversation, the attendees will be able to:

  1. Be familiar with key employee health and safety issues that need to be addressed to minimize liability and maximize safety, as we prepare and take initial steps to emerge from stay-at home.

  2. Understand key legal issues regarding employee and contractor screening.

  3. Hear from water utilities on their successful practices and procedures in reopening their facility to employees and contractors.
