Please join us for our next Colorado WaterWise webinar.

Colorado has long faced unique water challenges. Accelerating climate change and rapid population growth have added more complexity. Innovative water strategies have been part of Colorado’s history and are more important than ever for communities to better plan for and preserve their water supply. Next generation water and land use planning requires collaboration: bringing together the building and development community, water professionals and water policymakers, land use planners, and other important stakeholders to share best practices and learn about innovative water conservation and water reuse techniques.

In this webinar we will hear from the principal and founder of a leading landscape architecture/urban design group covering big picture new development opportunities through Total Hydrology Planning. We will also hear about institutional opportunities for sustainable urban water management and water reuse from the Director of the Colorado State University’s Urban Water Center. In addition, the Director of Water Resources with the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission will share their success in diversifying San Francisco’s local water supply portfolio through the implementation of conservation, groundwater, recycled water, onsite water recycling and other innovative programs.Join us for a deep dive into the biggest challenges facing communities as they strive to be better stewards of water, land, and life.

Speakers:

  • Paula Kehoe is the Director of Water Resources with the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC)
  • Dr. Sybil Sharvelle, Colorado State University
  • Craig L. Karn-ASLA, ULI Principal, Co-Founder Consilium Design
